Purpose The Advanced Manufacturing Maintenance Specialist is a results-driven individual who will own the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our high-tech manufacturing fleet—including CNC mills, robotic work cells, laser-based additive systems, vacuum furnaces, ovens, chillers, and other equipment. The role blends hands-on maintenance and advanced diagnostics to keep production running at peak efficiency while championing safety, quality, and data-driven improvement. The Role The Advanced Manufacturing Maintenance Specialist plays a vital role in availability, efficiency and cost of machinery utilized in our manufacturing operations. The Specialist is expected to exemplify our core values and demonstrate operational excellence. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with good mechanical aptitude with an understanding of production workflows, can adapt to shifting priorities. The Specialist is responsible for maintaining all production equipment, while working collaboratively with leads, supervisors, and management to meet operational goals. Basic Qualifications • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls, • Run CNC, robot, laser-additive machines, and thermal-process equipment per SOPs., • Track key performance indicators (OEE, cycle time, scrap) on dashboards., • Execute scheduled PMs (lubrication, filter changes, alignments, firmware updates)., • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software faults using schematics, multimeters, and OEM diagnostics., • Perform calibrated repairs & part replacements; maintain a calibrated tools inventory., • Run laser-optics, spindle, and temperature calibrations (ISO-17025 traceable)., • Document qualification results and update records., • Keep real-time service logs in the CMMS., • Ensure work complies with AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 45001, and local safety regulations., • Author and continuously improve SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and "lessons-learned" briefs.Preferred Qualifications, • Advanced mechanical & electrical troubleshooting (multimeters, oscilloscopes, PLC troubleshooting)., • CNC programming basics (G-code, M-code) and robot cell integration., • Laser-based additive manufacturing knowledge (powder handling, safety, process parameters)., • Calibration of optics, temperature sensors, and motion systems per ISO standards., • CMMS/ERP proficiency (asset tagging, work order creation, KPI reporting)., • Strong written & verbal communication; able to convert technical findings into clear action items., • Proven problem-solving mindset; comfortable applying 5-Why, Fishbone, and RCCA techniques., • Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment., • Data-driven: experience with Excel, PowerBI, or similar for trend analysis and reporting., • Familiarity with AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 45001 compliance requirements. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels Specialist 3 - Specialist 4 as evaluated through our interview process. • Specialist Level 3 / S03: $40 - $55, • Specialist Level 4 / S04: $46 - $63 Note: To adjust to changes in our business, it may become necessary to add, remove, or modify certain duties and responsibilities or to reassign you to another job position.
