Job Description Job Title: Automation Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician with expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines. The ideal candidate will handle automation machine tool electrical maintenance, working on a variety of CNC equipment including CNC mills (vertical and horizontal), CNC machining centers, and robotics. You will work with over 35 OEM machine brands and handle equipment such as P&H cranes/hoists, conveyors, furnaces, large part washers, ABB robots, and CNC machine tools. You will also be responsible for repairing CNC and PLC equipment with controllers from brands like Fanuc, Siemens, and Modicon. Key tasks include troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC analog and digital drives, sensors, cables, wiring, drive faults, encoders, and 480V systems. You will connect a laptop to machines to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues. The maintenance team uses an MMS system to generate work orders, and you will log all maintenance performed using a company-provided computer/tablet. Prioritize machinery repairs based on the value stream of the equipment. Responsibilities • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines and equipment., • Perform electrical maintenance on automation machine tools., • Work with a variety of CNC mills, machining centers, and robotics., • Repair CNC and PLC equipment with controllers from Fanuc, Siemens, and Modicon., • Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC analog and digital drives, sensors, and 480V systems., • Connect a laptop to machines for diagnostics and troubleshooting., • Use MMS system to generate work orders and log maintenance performed., • Troubleshooting and repair skills for CNC equipment., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, PLC, and relay logic schematics., • Experience with electrical maintenance and wiring., • Proficiency in troubleshooting PLC controls by editing ladder logic., • Familiarity with HMI programs for electrical troubleshooting., • Experience with control systems including Allen Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, and Fanuc., • Certified Electrician., • Associate Degree in Industrial Automation. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing facility with a heavy industrial machine shop production environment. You will work an AWS schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) with two nights (7pm-5am or 9pm-7am), totaling four 10-hour days guaranteed at 40 hours per week. Initial training will occur during the day for the first 2-4 weeks, with shifts assigned afterward. Candidates must be open to both day and night shifts.
