Set up traffic cones and other traffic safety devices in work areas., • Monitor the work zone throughout the shift to ensure items remain in their proper locations., • Collect and load traffic control items at the beginning and end of shifts., • Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports., • Follow all safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe work environment., • Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures., • Perform other work-related duties as assigned., • Valid Driver’s License, with no more than 2 points on license, and have your own vehicle to arrive at our hub location closest to you for work. The successful completion of the online ATSSA Flagging course must be completed within the first 30 days of employment., • After 6 months of employment and having proven the knowledge and leadership to be a TCC foreman, a TCC course will be made available, which rewards an immediate $5.00 per hour raise., • A times, our customers have projects that require us to pay our Traffic Control Technicians' prevailing wage rates. Those rates vary from $80.00 - $100.00 per hour. The jobs are offered to employees who demonstrate the work ethic, availability, and knowledge of his/her position., • Some of our customers have projects that are further than two hours away from our hub locations. These locations will be classified as travel overnight jobs. All employees are required to do at least one week's worth of these travel jobs per month, if these jobs are available. Typically, these jobs run from Monday through Thursday. For our employees to be home by Thursday evening. These jobs pay an additional $5.00 per hour, including travel hourly pay to a hotel where the job site is located at the company's expense., • Typical scheduled shifts are 70%-day, 25% night, and 5% weekends. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Remington & Vernick Engineers is looking for a NICET IV/Resident Engineer Certified Professional with expertise of managing heavy highway / bridge construction projects, and a construction inspection team. This professional will be responsible for the project record keeping, correspondence, compiling, reviewing, and delivery of required daily inspection reports. The ideal candidate will chair various project meetings, record and prepare and distribute accurate meeting minutes. This individual will need to be well experienced in bridges, highways and have an extensive background in construction especially with clients such as NJDOT, the NJTA, DRPA, and DRJTBC. PRIMARY DUTIES: • Act in the capacity of Resident Engineer, providing extensive inspection and management of construction project and serve as the Client’s liaison with the Contractor. The RE shall be capable of managing a 3+ CM/CI staff, possess strong communication, computer, and writing skills and be experienced with CPM Scheduling, • Work collaboratively with other engineers, professionals, and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, and local improvement projects., • Conduct construction supervision and field inspection of the work in progress to determine if the work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents, both alone and/or as part of a team., • Work with client to inform public about upcoming work and potential impacts. Work with the contractor to minimize disruptions to the public., • Provide and maintain all records related to the project in question including daily quantities., • Manage all project submittals and requests for information, ensuring the proper Engineer performs the necessary review and/or guidance., • Keep a logbook of all observations and daily activities for ongoing work and provide the client with daily reports to include all labor trades, equipment supplied by Contractor, and measured pay quantities., • Review applications for payment with Contractor and make recommendations for progress payments to the Client., • Prepare a final punch list at substantial completion and perform final project review for project closeout., • Good communication skills, with the ability to work with others and the public., • Self-motivated, organized, and focused, with good attention to detail. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Remington & Vernick Engineers is looking for a NICET Certified Professional (or equivalent) with expertise in inspecting heavy highway, intersection improvements, and bridge rehabilitation/reconstruction projects. This professional will assist in the project record keeping, measuring and tracking daily quantities as constructed, and generating daily inspection reports. This individual is expected to have an extensive background in construction inspection with clients such as local County government agencies, NJDOT, the NJTA, DRPA, and DRJTBC. PRIMARY DUTIES: • Act in the capacity of Lead Inspector to conduct construction supervision and field inspection of the work in progress to determine if the work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents, both alone and/or as part of a team., • Work collaboratively with other engineers, professionals, and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, and local improvement projects., • Work with clients to inform the public about upcoming work and potential impacts.
