Job Description Hughes Environmental, a leader in industrial services, seeks an individual with strong Operations supervisory experience and good organizational skills to serve as a Project Superintendent for industrial cleaning projects in industrial facilities throughout the U.S. The Project Superintendent must be able to travel to manage multiple jobs. Hughes provides commercial duct cleaning, ceiling and rafter cleaning, combustible dust cleaning, dry ice blasting cleaning and facility disinfecting services. Hughes also offers bioprotect solutions and UVC light disinfection products. Hughes is a member of the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA). Hughes Environmental is a subsidiary of LSS Holdings, which is also the parent company of Life Safety Services, a leading passive fire protection service provider. .Essential Duties • Direct and manage projects from beginning to end., • Translate the Purchase Work Order and contracted requirements into a clearly defined scope of work, milestones, and detailed tasks., • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents., • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals., • Reconcile spending with project budget, and recommend subsequent budget/contractual changes where necessary., • Initiate progress billings to customer(s) via the Accounting and Finance Team for Hughes Environmental, • Clearly identify any exceptional conditions that must be accounted for during the project’s execution (ex/ access limitations to various areas, allowable work hours from the facility) · Effectively communicate project expectations and updates to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. · Assess need for additional staff and make the appropriate resource requests, if necessary during a project cycle. · Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. · Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. · Proactively manage scope creep, request for project changes, identify potential pain points, and devise contingency plans. · Define project success criteria and disseminate to involved parties throughout project life cycle. · Coach, mentor, motivate technicians and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. · Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. · Proactively escalate areas of concern to the Senior Director of Operations. Minimum Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in a project management capacity in manufacturing/industrial facilities, construction, facility management or fire safety industries, • Bachelor’s degree in Production Management or Business or PMP certification preferred or work experience in a project management capacity may be considered in lieu of degree or certifications, • Strong familiarity with project management software or Excel as a project planning tool, • Experience leading safety training, • Ability to travel extensively to manage multiple jobs, • Flexibility in working environments, • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential., • Ability to easily adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines, • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently., • Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate with people from all levels of an organization., • Must be able to positively influence a project through persuasive, encouraging, and motivating actions., • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and technicians., • Ability to defuse tension, should it arise., • Strong written and oral communication skills., • Strong interpersonal skills., • Must be able to learn, understand, and translate new concepts., • Innate customer service focus., • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is critical.
