Job Description Job Title: Senior Group Manager - Procurement Services Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Procurement Experience Level: Senior Level About the Role We are seeking a Senior Group Manager (Marketing) to join our team! They will a member of a client dedicated procurement service delivery team responsible for leading category managers (client or WNS) with Marketing category planning and strategy development, benchmarking, collecting market intelligence, managing stakeholders, and developing project pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess experience developing Category Strategies & managing strategic sourcing for MARKETING categories (e.g., research, media buying, creative agencies, digital marketing, events, sales brokers, Point of Sale (POS), Coupons, etc.). The Senior Group Manager should have strong experience in marketing procurement and demonstrate strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills as well as have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced customer service environment Key Responsibilities • Lead the client’s defined strategic sourcing execution process, including building cost models, designing and launching of RFIs/RFPs, evaluating bids, planning and executing negotiation strategies, and making award recommendations., • Responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships, developing and delivery an annual savings pipeline., • Drive the team’s year-over-year savings while ensuring quality and service level requirements are met., • Regularly interact with senior members of the client’s organization, must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable leading and participating in discussions across levels and cultures., • Responsible for creating a positive work environment and fostering cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration., • Development of medium to long-term category strategies for a variety of Marketing categories in consultation with client Category Director and Sr. Manager, • Develop and execute sourcing strategies through the use of the client’s strategic sourcing process· Identifying cost savings through negotiations, event driven activities, and alternate sourcing strategies to achieve assigned cost saving goals, • Lead commercial negotiations and drafting contracts, • Work with client and subordinates (2-3 direct reports) in managing overall supplier relationships, including supplier performance, capability development, risk mitigation, cost savings, and quality improvements· Managing the team’s objective setting including savings, performance, as well as career growth, training, and competency development, • Coordinate the category globally, developing material for and delivery quarterly global category meetings to share best practices, category intel, and coordinate sourcing activity., • Prepare for and lead Quarterly Business Review and Annual Joint Business Planning meetings with key suppliers and stakeholders, • Act as the escalation point for the source to contract (S2C) team, communicating and resolving operational issues, and escalating to the Regional Delivery Lead or Engagement Manager as necessaryQualifications Required Qualifications and ✅ Preferred Qualifications • Hands-on knowledge of Marketing sub-categories (including agency negotiations, media agency management, maximization of spend ROI, advertising, point-of-sale materials, displays, technology)., • Deep understanding of strategic sourcing methods and approaches and an ability to apply various concepts to category-level activities at the client., • Ability to determine the appropriate procurement strategy for assigned categories and business requirements., • Ability to draft complex contractual agreements in consultation with Client Category Director, Business Partners, Legal., • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills., • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide custom solutions to address the client’s challenges., • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously., • Strong leadership skills, including ability to motivate and manage people., • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint, • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred, • 10 - 12 years of work experience in contracts, negotiations, procurement, or sourcing, • 10+ years of experience in Marketing Procurement with strategic sourcing or supporting a sourcing organization ideally in a client facing role for a service organization. Additional Information Compensation Disclosure The base salary range for this position is $145K to $189K annually. This represents the base pay range that we reasonably expect to offer for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, education, skillset, and location. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for performance-based bonuses, incentive pay, or commissions, which are not included in the listed base salary range.
