Job DescriptionJob Purpose JVM Solutions is hiring Optometry Technicians to support a Processing Center in El Paso, TX. Duties and Responsibilities • See an average of 10 to 12 patients per hour and/or the patient per hour average of the other collective CPs, unless affected by circumstances beyond their control., • Comply with all productivity standards and maintain a level of productivity comparable with that of other individuals performing similar services., • Receive service members, explain methods of procedures., • Conduct initial interviews with service members to gather medical history and information on visual complaints, past eye injuries, and family histories of eye diseases., • Identify any unconventional problem area that may be affecting the service member's visual or overall well-being., • Administer various visual tests for preliminary data and special examinations., • Receives and orients service member., • Set up equipment to conduct diagnostic tests., • Ensure that any unusual results or problems with any tests are brought to the optometrist, or supervisor's attention., • Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with applicable directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required by the policy., • Ensure all documentation and reports are legible and complete. Qualifications • Education: High school equivalent or completion of an optometric technician course or show evidence of training and certification obtained through the Army, Navy, or Air Force Optometry Technician program., • Minimum 1 year of experience as a full-time Optometry Technician within the last 3 years., • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, maintained in current status.Other Requirements, • Must pass a criminal background check., • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
