The successful candidate will have exposure to senior management and will gain experience dealing with all levels of staff in other departments. This role also offers an opportunity for the successful candidate to be part of a fast-paced, high-growth, team-based company with opportunities for career progression. This position offers a hybrid work structure, allowing flexibility to work remotely or from the office based on business needs. While remote work is an option, working from the office is encouraged for tasks requiring high collaboration or on-site completion. Office attendance can vary weekly, typically ranging from 2 to 4 days in any given week. Core Responsibilities • Manage day-to-day accounting and monthly close for the West region, • Process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded, • Generate & issue invoices monthly, updating rates monthly & annually, • Perform financial analysis, interpret, and report financial data, • Perform monthly account reconciliations, • Assist with AR, AP, and project-management within the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics D365) following up customers with past due balances, assist shared services identify payments, • Manage process to record capital asset acquisitions, dispositions, and transfers in the accounting system (D365), including reviews of purchase orders and accruals, and preparing necessary capital asset journal entries, • Track the compilation of project costs into capital asset construction in progress accounts, close out those accounts and componentize the asset once the related projects have been completed, • Participate in the annual budgeting process for both the capital and operating budgets, as well as periodic forecast updates, • Manage reporting requirements relating to compliance with regulatory bodies reporting requirements related to capital as it arises, • Maintain and promote positive interaction with internal partners and provide prompt, accurate service, • Assist with providing support to internal and external auditors as required Working Style to Be Successful in This Role: • Demonstrates exceptional initiative and execution skills, • Collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills including being capable of developing and maintaining positive relationships internally and externally, • Highly analytical with a keen attention to detail, • Delivers high-quality work with speed and accuracy, • Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently with minimal supervision Professional Experience & Knowledge: The successful candidate is expected to bring a structured, collaborative, detail-oriented and proactive approach. The candidate should have a proven track record of exceptional performance with a strong business acumen and the ability to explain the story behind the numbers. • 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience, • Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, • Strong foundation of accounting under GAAP, • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization and articulate financial concepts in a simple and concise manner for presentation and discussions with management and other non-financial business partners, • Strong work ethic with ability to adapt and produce high quality work in a dynamic environment, • Process-oriented individuals with a desire to be challenged, design and implement process improvements and take initiative to solve problems independently, • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities Technical Skills & Requirements: • Strong oral and written communication abilities, • Advanced Excel skills, ability to build and review models, • Experience working with D365 is considered an asset, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, • Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset, • CPA or other recognized accounting designation is considered an asset Conditions of Employment: • Successful completion of Criminal Background Check and Drug Test, • Valid Washington State Drivers License, • CenTrio strives to create a culture of health and wellness.
