Job Description Job Title: Contract Specialist (Aircraft Maintenance) Job Description The Contract Specialist drafts, negotiates, and manages contracts that support core business operations in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role focuses on agreements related to aircraft maintenance, component repair, manufacturing, engineering services, and spare parts sales, ensuring each contract complies with legal, financial, regulatory, and internal company standards. The Contract Specialist collaborates closely with sales teams, product line leaders, senior leadership, and legal counsel, while serving as a key liaison between sales, management, and customers during contract negotiations to support successful business outcomes. Responsibilities • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts in alignment with company policies and business requirements for aircraft maintenance, component repair, manufacturing, engineering services, and spare parts sales., • Ensure all contracts comply with applicable legal, financial, and regulatory standards, including aviation and FAA-related requirements where relevant., • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Product Line Directors, senior leadership, and legal counsel to support contract strategy, execution, and performance., • Act as a liaison between sales, management, and customers during contract negotiations, facilitating clear communication and mutually beneficial outcomes., • Establish, follow, and continuously improve internal contract review and approval processes to ensure efficient and compliant workflows., • Track contract deadlines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion, renewals, and modifications., • Maintain accurate and complete contract documentation and records in accordance with company procedures and audit requirements., • Support the full contract lifecycle, including initial drafting, negotiation, modifications, renewals, and closeout activities., • Use fact-based reasoning and strong communication skills to update, persuade, and facilitate discussions with employees, management, and customers at all levels., • Work independently with minimal direction in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while exercising sound judgment, ethical conduct, and responsible decision-making. Essential Skills • Minimum of 6 years of combined experience in Airline, MRO, OEM, or other relevant aviation or commercial environments, including at least 2 years in a Contract Specialist role., • Demonstrated experience in contract drafting and negotiation, with solid knowledge of legal, financial, and standard business practices related to contracts., • Understanding of aviation industry practices and FAA compliance considerations as they relate to contracts., • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear presentations and documentation., • Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills to communicate, update, persuade, and facilitate discussions with employees, management, and customers., • Proven ability to work independently with little direction in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting., • High level of ethical conduct and responsible behavior in managing sensitive and business-critical agreements., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint., • Experience using database software such as SUGAR and other email and web-based applications., • Valid drivers license. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Advanced degree and/or formal training in Business, Finance, or Marketing., • Direct experience in Airline or MRO contracting., • Experience working within aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul environments., • Comfort working across cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, leadership, and legal., • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $73000.00 - $80000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
