American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Northridge, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Physical Therapist, • Discipline: Therapy, • Start Date: 03/23/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Mar 23, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Acute care setting at a Level II Trauma Center, • Unit encompasses PT, OT, and Speech therapy services, • Inpatient patient population includes ortho, post-surgical, neuro, trauma, cardiac, and med/surg cases; no NICU, pediatrics, PICU, ER, or ICU assignments, • Outpatient patient population includes ortho and neuro cases, • Rehab patient population includes neuro, spinal cord injuries, and trauma cases, • Patient load varies by area: up to 9 patients/day in outpatient, up to 13 patients/day in inpatient, and varies in rehab, • Charting is performed in Cerner PowerChart, • Shift is 8 hours, days, Thursday–Monday, • May be required to float to other areas within the facility as needed, • Holiday coverage is not requiredRequirements, • Minimum 1 year of PT experience required; candidates with inpatient clinical experience may be considered with less than a full year, • Active state PT license required at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted) — license required if applicable, • Current BLS certification required (pending certifications not accepted), • Trauma experience preferred, • Travel experience preferred, • A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration, • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehireAdditional Information, • Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of patients across inpatient, outpatient, and/or rehab areas as assigned by the facility, • Rehab aides are available on the unit to assist with patient care, • Orientation is approximately 1.5 days and is conducted at the department level; Cerner training is provided during this time if needed, • Required uniform includes a maroon polo shirt, dark-colored pants, and closed-toed shoes; a lab coat is optional, • Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
