Role Description Undivided Life is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented finance and accounting professional with real-world experience to ramp up quickly, manage multiple entities simultaneously, make sound decisions, and keep the financial engine running across a growing portfolio of businesses and clients. This is a role for someone looking to grow in their career and provide value beyond just the accounting function. This is not an entry-level role, and the expectation is not only that you will meet deliverables but also that you will be a systems thinker who anticipates second- and third-order effects of decisions. This role reports directly to the Managing Partners and serves as the financial backbone for a growing ecosystem of owned brands, including Undivided Life itself. In addition, this role provides accounting and financial support for a portfolio of external consulting clients, where the scope of work may include everything from strategic finance, dashboarding, KPI tracking, board-level reporting, bookkeeping, organizational structure optimization, tax and legal strategies, treasury setup and management, and chart of accounts review. What You’ll Be Doing • Own the full-cycle accounting process across multiple entities, including general ledger management, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end close, • Prepare and deliver timely, accurate financial statements and management reports for each brand and for consolidated reporting, • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow monitoring across all entities, • Support and deliver strategic finance, dashboarding, KPI tracking, and board-level reporting, as well as bookkeeping, financial reporting, and close processes for external consulting clients, • Collaborate with the Managing Partners on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support strategic decision-making, • Evaluate and improve chart of accounts structures, reporting workflows, and close procedures across owned brands and client engagements, • Coordinate with external CPAs, tax advisors, and legal counsel for tax filings, compliance, and entity structuring, • Assist with treasury setup and management, including bank account administration and cash positioning, • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, including sales tax obligations in several states, including Texas, • Identify process gaps, build lightweight systems, and push work forward proactively in an environment without formal SOPs, • Keep multiple workstreams organized and moving without needing constant oversight Core Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, • 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity, small business, consultative, and/or entrepreneurial environment, • CPA designation preferred but not required, • Strong working proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and PowerPoint, • Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes, • Experience with multi-entity consolidation or managing books for multiple businesses simultaneously, • Familiarity with state-level sales tax compliance and reporting Key Skills • Ability to manage, prioritize, and own outcomes for multiple workstreams across different brands and clients without losing accuracy or momentum, • Strong analytical instincts with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership, • Comfortable building and improving processes from scratch in a fast-paced environment without formal SOPs, • Exceptional attention to detail paired with the ability to see the bigger picture across a complex portfolio, • Operates with autonomy, sound judgment, and a high degree of personal ownership, • Collaborative by nature, with the ability to work cross-functionally with operators, advisors, and external partners, • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders, • Resourceful, self-directed, and energized by solving problems rather than waiting for instructions
