Insurance Underwriter – Excess & Specialty. Insurance Underwriter – Excess & Specialty.

Head of Yachts (Wholesale Broker) - US - Negotiable compensation with potential equity What if your next move wasn’t just about growing a book of business, but building something you actually own a piece of? I’m working with the co-founder of an independent, employee-owned US wholesale broker and MGA who is looking to bring in a senior yacht wholesale broker and/or Underwriter to build out a dedicated yacht program. The opportunity is to take your existing market relationships, distribution and knowledge of the yacht market and turn them into something bigger. You’ll have the backing of an established wholesale and MGA platform, with the opportunity to help shape the proposition, develop broker relationships and build a profitable portfolio. What makes this particularly interesting is the ownership structure. There’s no private equity firm behind the business, and this isn’t a corporate role where you’re simply expected to hit a number someone else has set. The business is independently owned, with a long-term approach to growth. For the right person, there’s an opportunity to have a genuine stake in what you help build. What’s in it for you? → The opportunity to build a yacht program around your market knowledge and relationships. → An established wholesale and MGA platform to support you, rather than starting from scratch. → Equity, alongside a competitive compensation package. → The opportunity to influence the direction of the business and build something with long-term value. I’m keen to speak with senior yacht brokers who have an established network of retail broker relationships, understand how to grow a profitable book and want more ownership over what comes next. You don’t necessarily need to be looking for a move right now. But if you’ve ever thought about building something of your own, with the backing of an established platform and a meaningful stake in its success, it’s worth a conversation. The role can be based remotely, with flexibility on location across the US. If you’d like to understand the opportunity, drop me a message for a confidential conversation. No resume? No problem, please do get in touch and we can help you with that.
