Job DescriptionBenefits: • Dental insurance, • Health insurance General Job Description The Utility/Maintenance Technician, under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Manager/Director, is responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure the facility operates efficiently and meets production and safety standards. The role requires a strong foundation in basic facility maintenance and familiarity with common tools and equipment. Additionally, the Facility Technician will play a critical role in supporting production line maintenance to ensure machines and conveyors operate smoothly for optimal production efficiency. Objectives of this Role: • Perform routine repairs and maintenance across the facility, ensuring operations run smoothly., • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems., • Respond promptly to building emergencies and support automated production equipment as needed., • Ensure production lines, including machines and conveyors, are running smoothly and address issues promptly to minimize downtime., • Replace and maintain high-voltage warehouse light beams., • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on tools, equipment, and building systems., • Maintain building security and respond to emergencies during assigned shifts., • Read and interpret measuring tools such as measuring tapes, rulers, and calipers., • Identify and use basic tools and equipment, including screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and power tools., • Recognize and understand electrical wiring colors and their applications., • Perform basic plumbing tasks such as snaking plumbing lines and identifying parts like P-traps and their purposes., • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to production equipment, including conveyors, to ensure seamless operation., • Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated knowledge of basic facility maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems., • Production Support: Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting production lines, including conveyors and automated systems., • Tool Proficiency: Ability to identify and use common tools and equipment for facility maintenance., • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to address mechanical and electrical issues effectively., • Physical Readiness: Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including standing, lifting (up to 49 lbs), and working at heights up to 20 feet., • Independence: Ability to work independently without direct supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team., • Safety Awareness: A strong safety-first mindset, including adherence to safety protocols and regulations.Experience and Education:, • Certificate from a trade school or equivalent work experience in facility maintenance or a related trade., • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting., • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
