Job DescriptionMaumee Bay Lodge located on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie is seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our restaurant, lounge, banquet services, and/or snack bar, depending on business needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and brings a strong background in the food and beverage industry. This a Full-time year round position offering a variety of tasks on any given day and will never leave you bored at work! Schedule of duties and shifts may vary daily and week to week depending on business levels or events. Ideal candidates will have open availability to include days, nights, weekends & holidays. All holidays are required in Food & Beverage. Pay includes an hourly wage at $15.00/hour plus any tips that may be earned. Perks/Benefits: • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability and Pet insurance after 60 days, • 401k, • Paid time off, • Holiday Pay (including your birthday), • Hotel Room Discounts, • Food & Retail Discounts Supervise the Restaurant, Lounge, Banquet, and Snack Bar teams to ensure that: • Guests are greeted promptly and in alignment with company service standards., • Tables and buffet areas are cleared efficiently and in a timely manner., • All Food & Beverage areas are properly staffed for every shift., • Train all new employees on F&B responsibilities and daily duties., • Act as expeditor in the kitchen when restaurant and/or lounge is busy yet maintains a presence for guest issues., • Assist servers with bussing duties during peak business hours as needed., • Assist bartenders as needed during a rush or peak business hours., • Work with the Banquet Manager to to ensure all meals and breaks are delivered properly and timely as specified on the banquet event order (BEO)., • During slow periods of the year, performs any F&B duties including busser, server, cashier, set-up, bartender, etc., • Work closely with the General Manager to develop and implement creative strategies to increase revenues while ensuring guest satisfaction., • Assist with monthly food and supply inventories as directed., • Act as Manager on duty for the Lodge as required., • Must be at least 21 years of age, • Minimum 1 - 2 years experience in food & beverage industry, • Preferably possess 1 year of supervisory or management experience in a restaurant, banquet or catering setting., • Available days & nights. Weekends & holidays required., • Previous bartender knowledge, • Previous experience using a POS system in a restaurant environment preferred, • Possess a Valid Driver’s License, • Preferred certification in ServSafe and/or Alcohol service training, but if not, must attend next company scheduled training.
