Position Overview Perez Morris is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trial Attorney to join our Toledo office. The ideal candidate will have first-chair trial experience, a deep understanding of medical-legal issues, and a proven track record of handling high-stakes cases from inception through verdict. Key Responsibilities • Experienced trial lawyer with regular appearances in court conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions., • Skilled in all aspects of litigation strategy from drafting pleadings, responding to written discovery motions and discovery demands, preparing motions, to negotiating settlements and preparing witnesses for trial., • Serve as the primary contact for corporate clients and insurers, providing regular updates, case assessments, and litigation plans., • Independently manage an assigned caseload and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of legal practice., • Prepare witnesses for trial and coordinate trial preparation efforts., • Three to five years of experience in litigation. Interest in Medical Malpractice desirable., • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school., • Active license in good standing with the Ohio State Bar., • First-chair trial experience preferred., • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure cases and manage complex litigation matters., • Commitment to client service and ethical legal practice., • Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills, and a strong work ethic., • Entrepreneurial growth mindset for client development and practice management., • Values collaboration and diverse perspectives and can work with a team to creatively solve problems., • Willingness to be a productive member of a team.
