POSITION SUMMARY Under close supervision, the Business Assistant I will help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the office. This position needs to be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This position needs to be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effecitve ways to achieve better results. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES • Preforms overall clerical tasks of office; including Insurance Verifications., • Schedule and Confirm Patient Appointments., • Create and update records in Dentrix ensuring accuracy and validity of the information,, • Answering and routing phone calls. Perform receptionist duties and have the ability to be cross trained, • to help in a business area where needed., • Collect money and discuss financial arrangements with patients. Assist with completion of daily, • billing transactions., • Overall general clerical support of medical office; support of projects as needed for completion of, • mission: filing, data-entry, organization, auditing, etc., • Supports leadership in assigned priority projects and makes proactive suggestions regarding, • opportunities for optimizations., • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, • Skills:, • Customer service office setting or education., • Computer Skills in-office setting or education., • Proven experience as an office assistant or in another relevant administrative role, • Ability to learn dental practice management software will train on our specific software, • Excellent organizational and time management skills, • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Proficiency in math and computer us, • Years of Experience: 1+ years of clerical and/or customer service experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field The above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
