Job Description Production Supervisor – 3rd Shift Toledo, OH A & M Cheese is a processor and distributor of fine cheeses in the US, and is currently looking to fill the role for a Production Supervisor at our Toledo, OH location and become part of our 3rd shift team. As the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the production team by ensuring efficient operations, adhering to quality standards and compliance with food safety regulations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of food manufacturing environments, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities • Production Oversight:, • Execute and manage the daily production schedule to meet quantity, quality, and efficiency targets., • Coordinate with planning, maintenance, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operational flow., • Safety & Food Safety Compliance:, • Promote and enforce a zero-incident safety culture; ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols., • Ensure all processes and products comply with food safety standards including GMPs, HACCP, and allergen control programs., • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions as needed., • Personnel Management:, • Supervise, coach, and develop production team members., • Enforce company policies, issue disciplinary actions, and manage attendance/performance issues., • Conduct daily shift meetings to align staff on goals, expectations, and safety topics., • Regulatory & Quality Documentation:, • Maintain accurate and timely production and regulatory records., • Ensure readiness for third-party audits including AIB, BRC, and customer inspections., • Work collaboratively with QA and Compliance teams on internal audits and corrective action plans., • Continuous Improvement:, • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize labor., • Leadership:, • Participate in daily production meetings., • Participate in monthly Food Safety and Production Staff meetings. Qualifications • 2+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in a food processing or dairy facility., • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP, SQF/BRC, etc.)., • Experience with AIB or BRC audit preparation and execution., • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed., • Ability to work flexible hours, including some holidays as required., • Work is performed in a refrigerated production facility environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and manufacturing equipment., • Competitive wage, • Paid Time Off, • Medical, Rx, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, • 401(k) with company match
