Job DescriptionDescription: Description Hadco Metal Trading Co., LLC distributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and engineering grade plastics. Hadco products include plate, sheet, and extensive offerings of long products for general engineering, aerospace, and commercial markets. Hadco is hiring an individual experienced with Inventory Control in a warehouse operations environment. The Inventory Assistant supports accurate inventory control and material tracking in a metal warehouse environment. This role is responsible for daily inventory transactions, physical counts, documentation, and system updates to ensure stock accuracy, material traceability, and smooth warehouse operations. The position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and close coordination with Receiving, Shipping, Production, and accounting teams. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00AM-6:00PM with ability to travel up to 30% Requirements: Role & Responsibilities: Inventory Control & Accuracy • Perform daily inventory transactions: receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments., • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP/WMS system., • Assist with cycle counts, monthly counts., • Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, and overages., • Verify incoming material against POs, packing lists, heat numbers, sizes, and quantities., • Ensure material is properly tagged, labeled (UID/lot), and located in the warehouse., • Confirm material availability and accuracy before order release., • Verify picked material matches order requirements (alloy, size, length, quantity)., • Maintain heat/lot traceability throughout warehouse movements., • Ensure compliance with internal procedures for mixed material prevention., • Maintain organized inventory files (receiving docs, adjustments, RMAs)., • Generate basic inventory reports (discrepancies, count results, aging)., • Communicate daily with warehouse staff, supervisors, and office teams., • Report inventory issues immediately to prevent shipping or production delays., • High school diploma or equivalent, • 1–3 years of inventory or warehouse experience, preferably in metal, manufacturing, or industrial environments., • Ability to read and verify metal sizes, grades, heat numbers, and quantities., • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills., • Ability to travel up to 30%, • Ability to work with quality inspection tools including micrometers and calipers and perform basic dimensional tolerances., • Math and measuring skills including fractions and decimals., • Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretch., • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly., • Detail oriented and able to multi-task., • Minimum 18 years of age.
