Administrative Assistant / Customer Support Coordinator Company: Lashley South Texas Location: San Antonio, Texas Work Arrangement: In person Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with lunch break Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Ownership / Management Team About Lashley South Texas Lashley South Texas is a manufacturer’s representative serving customers across Central and South Texas, with an exclusive territory extending from north of Austin through San Antonio and down to the Rio Grande Valley. We represent and sell air distribution and HVAC-related products, including grilles, registers, diffusers, ductwork, duct accessories, and related product lines. We are a small, customer-focused business where every team member plays an important role. We are looking for someone who is professional, friendly, organized, eager to learn, and excited to become a key part of our team. Position Overview Lashley South Texas is seeking an Administrative Assistant / Customer Support Coordinator in our San Antonio office to support the day-to-day operations of our business. This is not a traditional administrative role only. In addition to normal office and administrative responsibilities, this person will often be the first point of contact for customers, vendors, contractors, and visitors. The right candidate will answer incoming calls, welcome visitors, help route customer requests, assist with basic product availability and pricing questions, support quote coordination, and occasionally help customers purchasing products directly from our warehouse counter. Prior experience in HVAC, construction, distribution, or building products is helpful but not required. We are willing to train someone who has the right attitude, communication skills, work ethic, and desire to learn. Key Responsibilities Customer Communication and Front Office Support • Answer incoming phone calls and direct customers, vendors, and other callers to the appropriate team member., • Serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for visitors, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders., • Respond to basic customer inquiries or help coordinate responses with the appropriate salesperson or team member., • Maintain a friendly, helpful, and professional tone in all customer interactions., • Help ensure customer requests are followed up on in a timely and organized manner. Product and Sales Support • Learn the company’s product lines, including air distribution products, grilles, registers, diffusers, ductwork, duct accessories, and related items., • Look up basic product information, availability, and pricing when needed., • Help coordinate customer quotes by gathering information, confirming product details, and assisting sales team members., • Support counter sales by helping walk-in customers purchasing products directly from the warehouse., • Communicate clearly with customers about product availability, lead times, pricing, and next steps, with support from the sales and management team as needed. Administrative and Office Support • Assist ownership and management with day-to-day administrative tasks and small projects., • Help prepare flyers, simple marketing materials, customer communications, and other business documents., • Maintain organized office records, files, and internal information., • Assist with scheduling, coordination, ordering supplies, and other general office needs., • Welcome visitors and help ensure the office presents a professional, customer-friendly environment., • Support the team with miscellaneous projects that help the business run smoothly. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who: • Has a positive attitude and enjoys working with people., • Is professional, friendly, gregarious, and comfortable interacting with customers., • Is hungry to learn and willing to become familiar with technical products over time., • Is organized, reliable, and detail-oriented., • Communicates clearly by phone, email, and in person., • Can balance multiple tasks in a small-business environment., • Is comfortable asking questions and learning from others., • Takes ownership of tasks and follows through., • Enjoys being part of a team and helping wherever needed. Qualifications • Prior administrative, customer service, inside sales support, receptionist, or office support experience preferred., • Experience in HVAC, construction, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, building products, or warehouse counter sales is a plus, but not required., • Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills., • Basic computer skills, including email, internet research, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar tools., • Ability to learn product information, pricing systems, inventory systems, and quoting processes., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Professional appearance and demeanor. Compensation and Benefits This is a full-time position with compensation expected to be in the range of $21–$25 per hour, depending on experience, attitude, communication skills, and relevant background. Candidates with prior experience in HVAC, construction products, distribution, inside sales support, customer service, or warehouse counter sales may be considered at the higher end of the range.
