PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Picks up and stores products in the manufacturing area and supplies materials as needed to meet production goals. Works with the transfer process with regard to unloading and loading trailers, wrapping pallets, and other related activities as they pertain to finished and unfinished inventory. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY: • Pulls away and place materials in designated areas all products that are produced by the machines or labor, • Supplies the gluers with blanks, the bundle machine with boxes, or any machine as directed, • Follows all instructions and notify the supervisor of any issues that would result in lost production time, • Adjusts to and follow new procedures and innovations, which would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation, • Effectively utilizes any machine downtime (not including approved breaks) by performing other tasks associated with maintaining a clean work environment or as otherwise instructed by a supervisor, • Loads and unload all trailers, seeing that they are first properly locked and chocked, • Verifies all pallets for labeling and count issues, any receiving discrepancies found should be fixed or held for the Supervisor, • Restacks pallets that have fallen, • Reports any mechanical problems with your equipment or any safety hazards relating to the performance of your duties, • Unloads all deliveries or shipments from outside vendors. Inspect quality, quantity, and condition of all shipments, and record on paperwork, • Performs daily forklift checklist and routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning equipment, • Maintains order in the warehouse storage areas in the performance of your duties, • Prepare and/or transfer all inbound shipments to designated locations, • Utilizes RF Smart to transport pallets of material throughout the plant, create virtual locations that correspond to physical plant location, and modify and maintain pallet inventory., • Communicates well with other team members, • Wears appropriate PPE for the task and the area., • Welcomes updates and improvements to processes and follow new procedures and innovations, which would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation, • Performs work in a manner that keeps down time to a minimum, • Maintains a clean work environment in accordance with Food Safety and 5S systems, • Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines. Use situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have basic computer skills and possess ability to utilize software. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and understand documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, communicate, and understand directions in English as needed. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide both fractions and decimals, solve equations, read a tape measure, and have an understanding of both standard and metric measuring systems. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must become a Certified Fork Lift operator in accordance with SCT training and carry a copy of your certification with you. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with arms and hands. Frequently required to climb, balance, twist, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, frequently must lift/move 25 to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform these functions for a minimum of 8 hours straight (with a 30-minute meal break any other applicable breaks during his/her shift) on a regular basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
