Perform distribution-related functions (receiving, storing, and shipping/building of loads). Operate forklift. Ensure load matches order prior to vehicle exiting yard. Perform customer service activities. Material Handlers have broad in-depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations. Possess alertness and adaptation to warehouse routines. Understand and apply fundamental mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Maintain good housekeeping in work area. Follow safety programs and ensure compliance of OSHA regulation. Material Handlers demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Shift: 4:oopm - 12:30am Monday thru Friday Qualifications Basic Qualifications: HS Diploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience. Must be able to understand and communicate safety and other work related instructions. Working Conditions are in a warehouse operations environment with considerable physical exertion. Will perform duties in all weather conditions. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of building material products and engineered wood products a plus. This role involves managing a team, ensuring safety and productivity, and supporting management with day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage a team of production employees., • Assign employees to machines and daily tasks., • Communicate company goals, production deadlines, and safety practices., • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback and motivation., • Ensure proper breaks and lunch periods are taken., • Assist with hiring, training, and employee development., • Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure orders are up to date., • Keep management informed of team performance and operational issues., • Enforce health and safety regulations.
