To protect your workforce, we are at your fingertips: internationalsos.com Job Description This position is based in the Philippines and will support the stand-up and operation of a contracted Role 2 Medical Treatment Facility located in Lal-Lo. The assignment is scheduled from April 18 through June 19, 2026, and will provide expeditionary medical support to U.S. military personnel and other authorized beneficiaries operating in the region. Please note that this is a temporary contract position and is not based in the United States. Candidates must be willing and able to travel internationally and work in an overseas operational environment for the duration of the contract. .The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, physician, or other authorized healthcare practitioner and performs duties only within the legal scope of practice allowed for a Licensed Practical Nurse under the applicable Nurse Practice Act and facility policies. The position is responsible for patient monitoring, medication administration, prescribed treatments, focused nursing assessments, timely escalation of significant findings, and complete and accurate medical record documentation. • Provide direct nursing care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, physician, or other authorized healthcare practitioner., • Perform all duties within the legal scope of practice for a Licensed Practical Nurse as defined by the applicable Nurse Practice Act, state regulations, and facility protocols., • Monitor and record patient status, including vital signs, and provide prescribed treatments in accordance with the patient care plan., • Conduct focused nursing assessments to gather data on a patient’s condition and contribute to the comprehensive assessment performed by the Registered Nurse., • Observe patients for changes in health status and report significant findings to the supervising Registered Nurse or physician in a timely manner., • Administer oral, topical, and other non-intravenous medications as ordered by the prescribing practitioner and in accordance with facility policies., • If certified as a Licensed Practical Nurse-Certified and permitted by applicable state regulations and facility protocols, perform only those specific intravenous therapy tasks allowed by the contract, including monitoring flow rates and discontinuing peripheral intravenous lines., • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of all nursing interventions, patient responses, and communications in the patient medical record., • Ensure all medical record entries are clear and signed with the Licensed Practical Nurse’s legal name and title., • Complete one hundred percent of shift documentation before shift change and maintain patient documentation at the contracted Role 2 in accordance with contract requirements., • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and eating, as required for patient care., • Support patients hold capability and remain on duty when a patient is admitted to patient hold, as required by the staffing model., • Support 24-hour operations, rotating shifts, emergency surge requirements, and 30-minute recall status when resting, as scheduled., • Complete required in-processing, out-processing, orientation, computer training, and any Government-directed training associated with assigned systems, policies, and procedures., • Comply with all applicable safety, fire prevention, waste disposal, infection control, patient safety, quality management, confidentiality, privacy, identification, and access requirements., • Protect confidential patient, personnel, financial, statistical, and technical information and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and Privacy Act requirements., • Report to work as scheduled during emergencies, disasters, and adverse weather conditions when contract services remain required., • Work effectively with physicians, Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Providers, Medical Technicians, Laboratory Technicians, Radiology Technicians, and support personnel to ensure coordinated patient care., • Perform only approved procedures and services., • Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies. Qualifications Basic Requirements/Certifications: • Full unrestricted U.S. Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse., • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in the nursing field., • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Associations (AHA) or equivalent is required., • Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred., • Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate., • Ability to work in high-stress environments., • Strong communication and teamwork skills., • Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare providers., • Knowledge, skills, and abilities in medical terminology, basic computer skills, customer service expectations, telephone etiquette, and basic typing., • Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements, • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time., • Valid passport with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay., • Successful completion of required background checks., • Must be able to relocate to Philippines for the duration of the project., • Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.
