Key Responsibilities\n\n • Perform comprehensive evaluations of clients presenting with mood disorder symptoms, assessing factors such as severity, duration, and personal history.\n, • Collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs, aspirations, and preferences of each client, employing evidence-based methodologies.\n, • Utilize established therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to foster positive change and coping strategies.\n, • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, coping mechanisms, and self-care practices, with a focus on empowerment and resilience.\n, • Regularly monitor and document client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as warranted based on ongoing evaluations.\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and allied health professionals, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients.\n, • Stay abreast of current research and developments in the field of mood disorders and psychotherapy, applying new insights to enhance clinical practices.\n, • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in documentation, ensuring that all records comply with legal regulations.\n, • Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives.\n, • Advocate for clients, focusing on reducing the stigma associated with mental health issues and addressing their holistic needs.\nPatient Population / Client Focus\n Your primary focus will be on individuals grappling with a range of mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Many of our clients are facing significant life challenges, including socioeconomic adversity, trauma, and instability. You will work with diverse populations, including refugees, domestic abuse survivors, and individuals experiencing homelessness. This role will provide you the opportunity to create tailored approaches to therapy that acknowledge cultural, social, and personal dynamics.
