    Driver Education Instructor – Department of Education (DOE Pathways Program) Location: Bronx, (Multiple NYC Public High Schools) Schedule: Contract | $100 per session About the Role Drive Forward Academy is expanding its Pathways Forward initiative — a high-impact driver’s education and career-readiness program offered within NYC public high schools. We are seeking dynamic, mission-driven instructors to guide students through the fundamentals of driver’s education while introducing them to broader career opportunities in transportation, logistics, and mobility technology. Key Responsibilities • Teach structured driver’s education and permit-prep lessons following DFA’s approved DOE curriculum., • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction with real-world applications that connect driving to workforce pathways., • Inspire and mentor students toward long-term success through accountability, discipline, and goal-setting., • Track attendance, participation, and student progress; submit reports in accordance with DOE guidelines., • Represent DFA’s mission by fostering a supportive, motivational learning environment for all students. Qualifications • Valid New York State Driver’s License (required)., • Must be able to pass DOE fingerprinting and background clearance., • Experience working with youth, schools, or community programs preferred., • Passion for mentorship, education, and community development strongly encouraged. Responsibilities include: • Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized care plans, • Provide ongoing case management, advocacy, and support to families, • Coordinate services across medical, behavioral, educational, and social domains, • Monitor progress and adjust care plans as needed, • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and reports, • Participate in regular supervision and team meetings Requirements: • Must be Bilingual in Spanish and English*, • Must reside within the New York City area, • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field (Master’s preferred but NOT required), • Minimum 2 years of experience in case management, care coordination, or related field, • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working with children, youth, or families in social service, behavioral health, or healthcare settings Compensation: $30 per hour

Below are the duties and responsibilities of the position. Program Specialist Responsibilities & Duties -Make initial home visits for new referrals with the assigned worker to assess family needs, outline case goals and determine the frequency, scope and duration of referred cases. -Monitor the development of 30-day Service plan and the authorization of services. -Make home visits to assess worker/family dynamics and appropriateness of treatment plan and periodic follow ups. -Participate in the development and periodic review of individualized Safety Plans for all children -Participate in Agency staff meetings, Interdisciplinary Team Meeting (IDT) and Discharge Planning Meetings with Health Home Care Managers. -Maintain all records in accordance with Department of Health (DOH), Office of Mental Health (OMH) and agency policies. -Support new employee orientation and onboarding of new workers. -Additional Duties as assigned. Qualification & Skills of Social worker -Experience in a clinical CTFSS Program and the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) -Strong Case Management skills -Strong interpersonal and communication skills -Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team -Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
