As Director, Data and AI Architecture, you are leading our enterprise data management, engineering, modelling and AI capabilities. Your role is to be a leader within the broader global data, analytics and AI team to drive the design and implementation of our modern data and insights platform. You will oversee data engineering and data management teams, ensuring robust, scalable, and innovative solutions that support business strategy and deliver value across the organization. You will be accountable for the end to end design and delivery of data architecture from data ingestion through data and semantic modelling. You will be accountable for data management, including metadata management, data quality, and governance Responsibilities: • Define and own the architecture for data, analytics, and AI, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology strategy, in partnership with the broader enterprise architecture team, • Oversee and guide data engineering and data management teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship, • Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines, data models, and storage solutions, integrating diverse data sources into a unified ecosystem with data quality controls, monitoring and incident workflows, • Establish and enforce standards, best practices, and governance for data engineering, data management, and AI development, • Oversee metadata management, data lineage, and certification processes to ensure data reliability and traceability, • Promote metadata-driven approaches for agile and automated governance, including design and implementation of data dictionaries, glossaries, catalogs and lineage tools, • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology leaders to translate business requirements into architectural solutions with semantic models to bridge business language and technical structures, • Ensure semantic models support self-service analytics, AI, and decision intelligence, • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in data ingestion, modelling, and AI capabilities, leveraging emerging technologies and tools, • Ensure data quality, integrity, privacy, and security across all platforms and processes, • Organise regular progress meetings with stakeholders to review architecture, project status, and compliance with guidelines, • Document architectural decisions, data flows, and technical standards for knowledge sharing and onboarding, • Support crisis management and incident resolution, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise, • Foster a culture of belonging, growth, and learning within the team, championing Bacardi’s value, • Responsible for budget submission/tracking of projects and associated run budget components as applicable, • Work closely with other team members and Support/Operations on enhancement and maintenance requests as needed, • Accountable for informing global data and analytics portfolio team about all requests/initiatives/ongoing work, • Support the Global VP in defining and designing the Global Data, Analytics and AI strategy, • Participate in the evaluation of data, analytics and AI emerging technology and tools, • Work with vendors as needed to support ongoing projects and operations:, • Maximize the value of our key partnerships, • Ensure that the partners deliver services that meet the business requirements and the agreed SLAs.
