ph3Job Description /h3 pA position as a bAir to Air Refueling Systems and BOOM System Engineer /b has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Getafe (Madrid). The mission of Air to Air Refueling Systems organization is to conceive, develop, certify and support in service along the complete product lifecycle, the solutions (systems, installations, equipment, global support services) for air to air refueling capabilities in Airbus Defence Space platforms. The position requires a mechatronics system engineer with knowledge and interest in several disciplines, including mechanical engineering (design, mechanics/dynamics, structural, fatigue), actuation systems (electromechanical, hydraulic) and control systems (avionics, critical SW/FW specification, modeling and simulation, integration and testing). The application of this disciplines is framed in the required safety, quality and performance processes according to Airbus systems engineering standards and the needs of our customers. Ability to manage the development of Air to Air Refueling systems and modifications, from concept to aircraft validation and certification. /p pMechanical and actuation systems development. Interface and collaboration with other internal organizations (Physical Design and Structure, Procurement, Testing). Specification, modeling, prototyping, testing specification, VV planning / execution, certification process, industrialization and service key support. Control, Monitoring Recording Sub-system / equipment / component / module for Airbus, including Systems Architecture. Specify considering the following factors: Safety, Quality, Systems Performance, Cost, Environmental, Operational and Industrial Requirements, Design to Service. INPUTS: Top Level requirements and operational needs. Sub-system interfaces from Airbus and Systems Suppliers. OUTPUTS: Deliver safe systems which minimise operational costs and maximise performance and reliability throughout the product lifecycle. Support and participation in customer program lifecycle from AAR organization. Collaboration with manufacturing organizations to optimize AAR systems industrialization and testing. Collaboration with Services organization to follow up, support in service and optimize the AAR systems capabilities, with a strong end customer orientation. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDevelopment of boom actuation and control systems /li liElectromechanical and hydraulic actuators /li liMechanical Engineering basics: design (CATIA), stress, fatigue, mechanisms /li liFlight Control Systems A/C installations: electrical and mechanical installation, rigging; electrical wiring systems design (SeeXP, segregation, etc.) /li liFlight Control subsystems / equipment (computers, actuators, motors, sensors) specification, supplier development supervision, qualification testing, design and production validation (APQP, etc.) /li liControl electronics and power electronics /li liFlight Control systems / subsystems / equipment development and integration testing rigs: bench specification, testing specification, validation /li liSafety analysis process, from architecture validation to PSSA, equipment FMEA (functional FMEA when application SW/FW is developed internally in Airbus DS over a HW platform supplied by external partner) and system SSA /li liData science (test data massive analysis, etc.) /li liMachine Learning, Computer Vision and general artificial intelligence knowledge to apply it to systems development product and processes /li liAlong the product lifecycle: concept design, system/subsystem/equipment specification, detailed design follow up, A/C installation, supplier monitoring and technical product acquisition, testing, certification, etc. /li liSystems Engineering and global product lifecycle approach /li /ul h3Skills /h3 ul liLeadership skills, including Business focus, Team focus, integrity, proactive and autonomous, communication skills /li liAeronautical, industrial/mechanical engineering, electronic engineer (or similar) /li liDesired experience of 7+ years in development, A/C installation and certification of A/C control systems (flight controls, landing gear, etc.) /li liControl / actuation technologies and architectures for safety critical systems and availability/reliability /li liAvionics / Control computer development: power and control electronics, common control physical and functional interfaces (discrete, analogue, sensors, digital buses: A429, CAN, 1553, ETH, discrete/analogue, sensors...), equipment functional and environmental qualification, EMI/EMC, etc.) /li liMechatronics (microelectronics, power control electronics, motors, actuators, mechanisms, sensors, control design, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.) /li liExperience with system testing environment (specification/design, execution, exploitation of test means for system testing: control computer bench testing specification and exploitation, control / actuation system integration, environmental testing, SEAS, National Instruments test systems, etc.) /li liDesirable experience with simulation and modelling tools (esp.
