European International School of Barcelona is looking for a passionate and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist who is a English mother tongue speaker to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational and clinical speech therapy, as well as experience working with students with communication and language needs. EISB is surrounded by the 8,465-hectare Collserola Natural Park, on a 14,000 m² plot with 10,503 m² of constructed spaces for classrooms, laboratories, dining rooms, a library, auditorium, a gymnasium, two swimming pools and a fully-equipped kitchen. Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and support students with speech, language, and communication disorders. Provide high-quality therapy sessions exclusively in English to support students’ linguistic and academic development. Lead socio-emotional interventions, both individually and in groups, to support students’ wellbeing. Design, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans tailored to each student’s specific needs. Provide guidance and support to teachers in inclusive educational practices and classroom strategies. Work closely with families, offering counseling, regular feedback, and home-support strategies. Collaborate with the school’s multidisciplinary team (Psychologists, ASD specialists, and tutors) to ensure holistic student support and contribute to inclusive school policies. Participate in meetings, case discussions, and school initiatives related to inclusion and wellbeing. Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to the development of inclusive policies and intervention protocols within the school. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Psychology, (or equivalent). English mother tongue speaker and Bilingual English/Spanish (required). Proven experience in socio-emotional interventions (individual and group settings). Specialisation in speech and language development and/or neurodevelopmental disorders. Ideally two years of previous experience in similar positions (educational or clinical settings). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment. Specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) will be considered a strong asset Catalan language skills will be considered an asset. A valid work permit to work in Spain.
