Could you be the full-time Software System Architect in Madrid we’re looking for? Your future role: Take on a new challenge and apply your Software system engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside cooperative and proactive teammates. You'll will be responsible defining and designing the new functionalities for one of our main software systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Internal and external stakeholders), contribute to continuous improvement and much more. You’ll specifically take care of system specifications and system design analysis but also support the Product Architect and Design Authority for identification of technical risks and definition of the development strategy We’ll look to you for: Lead and participate in the system design and specifications by application of System Engineering technics for: • System Design (conceptual design through critical thinking & holistic analysis, integration of end-users, experts, and CCN recommendations, phases concurrent engineering, ensures design for testability, provides interface resolution and management), • Technical reviews & decisions, • System Specifications (Structured system specifications, development and integration of sub-system, software, product, and V&V needs, system modelling and requirements writing, management, and traceability), • Application of verifications (document reviews, peer reviews), • Configuration Management, • Interface with the System Application Architect for projects and tenders activities (evolutions & anomalies analysis, design & documentation support), • Prepare program/project documents (e.g. training material, user manuals, ..), • Participate in the material selection and procurement activities as required for the system delivery, • Alert and reports on any event/risks that may impact system development, • Participate in the program CCB (review of Change Request status), • Keep informed of the evolution of technologies through technological watch, • Contribute to continuous improvement (RoE: Return on Experience, process, workload estimations/metrics, ..), • Support the System Engineering Manager for workload estimations for the system design deliverables, • Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role: • Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication or Industrial Engineering, • Experience as a software system engineer, • Knowledge of the program domain, • Demonstrable knowledge of requirements management tools (such as DOORS and/or Reqtify), • Technical decision management, • Product & Domain knowledge, • Expertise in System Engineering, • Design for Quality life cycle, • Languages: English (full proficient use) and Spanish (full proficient use) Desirable: • Master’s degree, • Certification in System Engineering, • Other languages: French, • Knowledge and demonstrable skills using Microsoft Azure DevOps (or similar) for version control, reporting requirements management, program management, documentation management, testing, etc..., • Specific domain knowledge (CCTV, PA, PIS, Telephony, Communications, others...) and integrated control centers, • Demonstrable knowledge and experience on software agile projects and continuous integration and continuous delivery Things you’ll enjoy: Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
