Chez Antoinette is a French restaurant with homemade cuisine, the food is based on organic, seasonal and fresh produce. Our Barista will also work in our brand-new coffee kiosk (Suzette) 1 min away from Chez Antoinette. We are looking for the right person to join the team, you’re there to help, and make sure everything is working smoothly. The understanding of the French culture and friendly customer service is essential. At Chez Antoinette we offer a high-quality product yet simple in a busy environment Summary of the role • Greet and meet guests., • Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones., • Proficient in Latte Art, • Offer hot/cold drinks recommendations upon request., • Communicate efficiently with the Front of House and managers., • Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning and recording any defects., • Check your crockery and area for cleanliness and presentation and report any issues., • Arrange barista settings, maintaining a tidy section., • Keeping the work environment safe, sanitary, and organized., • To respect the Allergen standards laid out by the law and Chez Antoinette standards., • Participate in team briefings and have a keen interest in the daily life of the restaurant., • Follow all relevant Health and Safety regulations and policies., • Provide excellent customer service to guests. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Barista/Café Supervisor to support the management in the daily operations of our fast paced and successful café in Chelsea. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires effective leadership skills, ensure safety standards, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Duties • Supervise daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction., • Train, develop, and manage staff to uphold service standards and enhance team performance., • Ensure accurate transactions using POS systems such as Epos Now., • Manage inventory control, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste., • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly., • Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure seamless communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams., • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a cafe environment., • Strong knowledge of food&drinks safety regulations and best practices in food&drinks handling., • Familiarity with POS systems (Epos Now) for efficient transaction processing., • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively., • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle challenging situations gracefully., • Experience with inventory control and budgeting processes is an asset. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and skills. Service charges and tips are paid in addition to hourly rate.
