Project Director FSC Project Director Start Date: January 2025 Duration: Permanent Contract: Full time, Hybrid. Reporting To: Head of Delivery ABOUT FSC The Smart Evolution of the Creative Agency. We are building an agency that delivers to clients and community in equal measure. THE ROLE The FSC Project Director will join our Delivery Team and report to our Head of Delivery. As a senior member of the team, the Project Director will oversee the delivery of a diverse range of projects for our clients — spanning strategic consultancy, research, brand and visual design, new product and service design, digital marketing, and creative campaigns across print, digital, and TV. This is a leadership role responsible for ensuring excellence across the end-to-end delivery process — from project scoping and resourcing to execution, quality control, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and can confidently manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects while guiding and mentoring delivery teams. This role offers equity in the business, making you a key stakeholder in the agency’s success. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Leadership & Team Development • With our Head of Delivery, lead and mentor the project management and delivery team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance, • Oversee team resourcing and allocation across multiple client projects to ensure balanced workloads and optimal efficiency, • Provide leadership, guidance, and constructive feedback to support career growth and skills development within the team, • Champion FSC’s values and culture across all projects, ensuring a positive and inclusive working environment, • Step into a hands-on Senior Project Manager role for key or complex projects when required, leading by example in project execution and team collaboration 2. Project Oversight & Delivery Excellence • Oversee the delivery of multiple, concurrent projects, ensuring high standards of quality, creativity, and client satisfaction, • Maintain a portfolio-level view of project progress, risks, budgets, and team performance, • Support Project Managers in planning and executing complex projects, providing strategic input and problem-solving guidance, • Take direct ownership of delivery for larger, high-value, or strategically important projects, ensuring they run efficiently and deliver outstanding results, • Ensure delivery frameworks, documentation, and workflows are consistent, efficient, and continuously improved, • Act as the escalation point for delivery challenges, providing solutions and clear communication to clients and internal stakeholders 3. Scoping, Financials & Commercial Stewardship • Lead project scoping, estimation, and contracting, ensuring proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) are accurate, strategic, and commercially sound, • Manage project profitability through active monitoring of budgets, scopes, and timelines, • Personally oversee budgeting and scoping for high-profile projects under your direct management, • Collaborate with the Head of Delivery and Leadership Team on financial forecasting, reporting, and operational planning, • Identify opportunities to optimise processes, increase efficiency, and drive agency profitability 4. Client & Stakeholder Management • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a strategic partner and delivery expert, • Confidently represent FSC in client meetings, reviews, and workshops, contributing to strategic conversations beyond day-to-day project management, • When acting as Senior Project Manager, serve as the main point of contact for clients on delivery, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout, • Identify and shape opportunities for organic account growth in partnership with New Business and Strategy Leads, • Ensure that client expectations are clearly defined, managed, and consistently exceeded through proactive communication and delivery excellence 5. Governance, Process & Continuous Improvement • Define and uphold best-in-class delivery standards and project governance practices across the agency, • Lead retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives to evolve FSC’s delivery methodology, • Contribute to shaping FSC’s operational strategy, systems, and tools to support scale and efficiency, • Support new business and pitch processes by developing delivery plans, budgets, and resourcing models, • Apply insights from hands-on project experience to refine tools, templates, and delivery processes across the business ABOUT YOU We’re looking for someone who is excited to shape and lead delivery within a growing, fast-moving creative consultancy. Our ideal candidate will have: • Experience: 8+ years of project and programme management experience, with proven success in creative, digital, or strategic agency environments, • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering collaboration and accountability, • Hands-on Delivery: Confidence and capability to step into a Senior Project Manager role when needed, managing complex or flagship projects end-to-end, • Strategic Thinking: Strong commercial and operational acumen, with experience overseeing budgets, profitability, and resource planning, • Client Expertise: Track record of building and maintaining senior client relationships, providing strategic delivery insight and trusted counsel, • Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in leading meetings and presentations, • Problem Solving: Proactive, calm under pressure, and able to make sound decisions in complex delivery environments, • Organisational Skills: Excellent multitasking, prioritisation, and time management skills, • Technical Understanding: Familiarity with project management software and digital production processes across creative, brand, and marketing disciplines, • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a startup-like, evolving environment where processes are continually refined and improved OUR SERVICES Our services are AI-enhanced from the get go, with AI incorporated to enable better outcomes, reduce costs and deliver more value to our clients.
