Main Purpose We are looking for a commercially focused and results-driven professional to join our team as a Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Business Development Director you will be directly responsible for driving the growth of our product service and solution offerings to both existing and new customers. Focused on diversifying our sales portfolio with existing customers and building relationships and winning new business with new customers you will be required to work collaboratively with teams from across the business to ensure targets for sales profit and growth are met. Regular travel to meet customers sometimes at short notice will be a pre-requisite. The hybrid role offers flexibility but ideally you will be located near to the Doncaster office which will be your home office location. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Sales Expansion: • Work cross-functionally with marketing product development operations and customer engagement teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and alignment of objectives. Person Specification • Demonstrable experience in business development sales or portfolio management preferably gained in Traction & Rolling Stock Engineering or Technology sectors., • Proven track record of success in driving sales expanding portfolios and building new business within a B2B environment., • Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to engage and influence C-level executives and key decision-makers., • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling business cases and presentations for diverse audiences., • Ability to think strategically develop long-term plans and adapt to changing market conditions., • Proficient in using data and metrics to inform decisions track progress and identify areas for improvement., • Excellent leadership capabilities with experience managing cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with various departments., • Commercial and financial acumen to support the development of strategic pursuits and review of sales forecasts.
