HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR Location: Manchester (M1 2PZ) Hours of work: 37.5 hour per week (6am – 2pm, Mon-Fri) Contract Type: Permanent We are seeking a motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and inspire our cleaning team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our housekeeping function, ensuring that all cleaning activities are delivered to the highest standard. You will be the first point of contact for your team, providing clear direction, support, and guidance to ensure both staff and customer expectations are consistently exceeded. Job Description Working as part of a team, you will take ownership of maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring cleaning schedules are followed and site specifications are met. With a focus on leadership, organisation, and attention to detail, you will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment while building strong working relationships with your staff and supporting their professional development. Key Responsibilities • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping team, acting as the first point of contact., • Build positive and professional relationships with cleaning staff, ensuring they understand their responsibilities., • Ensure all cleaning schedules, site specifications, and Health & Safety standards are met., • Manage staff attendance, performance, and conduct., • Recruit, induct, train, and motivate team members to deliver high standards of work., • Ensure adequate stock of cleaning materials, consumables, and equipment., • Support the rollout and monitoring of PSO training for the housekeeping team., • Continuously monitor site cleanliness, ensuring standards are consistently upheld. About You • Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or Cleaning Manager., • Strong knowledge of cleaning practices and supervisory experience in housekeeping., • Excellent communication skills (spoken, written, and listening)., • Approachable with strong interpersonal skills., • Highly organised with excellent coordination abilities., • Reliable, proactive, and able to make effective decisions under pressure., • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while confidently leading others.
