Vice President, Tax Management Manager \n Hybrid – 4 days onsiteFull-time \n Manchester, England \n \n An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading global financial services organisation within its Wealth Services Operations division. \n \n We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Tax Management Manager to lead a specialist operational team responsible for transaction tax processing, controls, client servicing, and operational oversight within a highly regulated environment. \n \n This is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to drive operational excellence, strengthen governance and controls, enhance client service delivery, and contribute to strategic transformation initiatives within a globally recognised financial institution. \n \n The Opportunity \n This role offers broad exposure across Transaction Tax Operations and Wealth Services activities, including: \n\n • Oversight of transaction taxes including Stamp Duty, Irish Stamp Duty, Financial Transaction Tax (FTT), and PTM Levy\n, • Applying tax rules across operational processes and trade lifecycle activities\n, • Managing transaction tax reconciliations, controls, and exception investigations\n, • Investigating and resolving SDRT and Stamp Duty breaks and discrepancies\n, • Managing tax payments and submissions in line with HMRC and Revenue Commissioner deadlines\n, • Supporting tax reclaim investigations, preparation, submission, and processing activities\n, • Monitoring tax treatments across settlements and unpaid CREST positions\n, • Acting as the primary escalation point for operational, client, and risk-related matters\n, • Managing relationships with clients, operational teams, and key stakeholders\n, • Producing operational MI, performance metrics, and reporting\n, • Driving process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives\n, • Leading and developing a high-performing operational team\n\n \n What We're Looking For \n Essential Skills & Experience \n\n • Experience within Tax Operations, Wealth Operations, Custody Operations, Asset Servicing, Settlements, or Financial Services Operations\n, • Strong understanding of transaction taxes including SDRT, Stamp Duty, Irish Stamp Duty, Financial Transaction Tax, PTM Levy, or related tax processing activities\n, • Experience supporting operational controls, reconciliations, exception management, and risk oversight\n, • Proven people leadership and team management experience\n, • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills\n, • Experience working within highly regulated financial services environments\n, • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities\n, • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills\n\n \n Desirable Experience \n\n • Wealth Services, Custody, or Asset Servicing experience\n, • Knowledge of trade lifecycle and settlements processes\n, • Experience with tax reclaims and regulatory reporting activities\n, • Exposure to operational transformation, automation, or continuous improvement initiatives\n, • Experience utilising digital tools, analytics, or AI-driven solutions to improve operational effectiveness\n\n \n Ideal Backgrounds \n\n • Tax Operations\n, • Transaction Tax Processing\n, • Wealth Management Operations\n, • Custody Operations\n, • Asset Servicing\n, • Securities Operations\n, • Settlements Operations\n, • Investment Operations\n, • Client Operations\n, • Financial Services Operations\n\n \n Why Apply? \n\n • Lead a business-critical operational function\n, • High-profile role with significant stakeholder exposure\n, • Opportunity to drive change, efficiency, and automation initiatives\n, • Work within a globally recognised financial services organisation\n, • Excellent long-term career development opportunities\n, • Exposure to complex operational, regulatory, and client-facing activities\n\n \n Eligibility \n\n • Full unrestricted right to work in the UK required\n, • Sponsorship is not available now or in the future\n, • Candidates must be able to attend the Manchester office 4 days per week\n\n \n Why Apply? \n This is a fantastic opportunity to join a globally recognised financial services organisation and lead a critical Corporate Actions function. \n You will have the opportunity to develop teams, enhance client service delivery, strengthen controls, drive operational improvements, and contribute to transformation initiatives within a world-class operational environment. \n This role may suit an established Corporate Actions Manager, Operations Manager, AVP, Senior Manager, or VP seeking broader leadership responsibility and strategic exposure. \n \n
