As an Associate Project Manager, you’ll play a vital supporting role across our operations — helping deliver projects on time and on budget, supporting procurement and quality processes, and gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of running a fast-growing clean-tech business. The Opportunity This is a broad and adaptable role, designed for a motivated individual early in their career who wants to gain hands-on experience across project management, procurement, and quality in a dynamic and supportive environment. As an Associate Project Manager, you will support delivery of both internal and external projects, ranging from grant-funded R&D through to client installations and in-service support. You will help coordinate suppliers, manage project schedules, maintain budgets, and contribute to building reliable operations processes at GT Wings. Because GT Wings is a growing business, you will not be restricted to pure project management – your work may also involve procurement activities, supporting quality management tasks, and assisting with client project delivery as well as helping develop our operational processes. You will work closely with experienced colleagues who will support your development. This is an ideal role for someone eager to learn, contribute meaningfully, and grow with the company as we scale. Responsibilities Core (Project Management) • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables., • Prepare project risk registers and progress reports., • Help draft and manage grant applications and reporting requirements., • Coordinate project scope and help avoid scope creep., • Support scheduling and resource planning., • Support procurement activities, including supplier engagement and tendering., • Help monitor subcontractor performance against quality, cost, and delivery requirements., • Contribute to building and maintaining quality records (inspection packs, certificates)., • Support client-facing tasks during installations., • Help liaise with shipyards, suppliers, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth delivery. What We’re Looking For Required: • Some exposure to project management (through studies, internships, placements, or early career roles) is beneficial but not essential — we value transferable skills and a willingness to learn., • Strong organisational and communication skills., • Ability to adapt quickly, multitask, and contribute meaningfully to projects., • Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field., • Knowledge of procurement or supply chain processes., • Awareness of quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001)., • Microsoft Project or similar tools., • Marine, manufacturing, or start-up environment experience. Development Opportunities This role is designed as an entry point with significant scope to grow into more senior responsibilities (Project Manager, Subcontract Manager, or Quality Lead).
