Qualified Senior Accountant Job (Practice) Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Location: Cheltenham Contract: Full-time, Flexible working Are you an ambitious Qualified Senior Accountant looking to develop your career with a respected and growing accountancy practice in Cheltenham? About the Role As a Senior Accountant, you’ll work closely with a broad portfolio of clients, helping them stay compliant while supporting their growth with practical financial advice. This role combines accounts preparation, compliance, and client advisory work — ideal for someone who enjoys variety and client interaction. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders in line with FRS 102 and IFRS., • Complete and review VAT returns, P11Ds, and PSA submissions., • Produce management accounts, reports, and integrated cash flow forecasts., • Oversee and review bookkeeping using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks., • Support the preparation of corporation tax returns and liaise with the tax team on more complex matters., • Build strong client relationships, providing proactive support and guidance., • Mentor and assist junior staff to develop their technical and client-facing skills., • Ensure work is completed within deadlines and to high professional standards.
