CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: The Sales Administrator supports both the Sales Director (MD) and the Publisher in the efficient delivery of the publishing schedule whilst managing product data across all platforms and providing sales and operational support. This role is suitable for those looking to work in English Language Sales, you will be fully trained. This role is administrative support and therefore requires a lot of data and excel usage. The office is small and you would be one of three so the ability to work alone is essential. Key Objectives: · To support sales development, through the timely processing of orders and by providing operational support · To ensure all title listings are kept up-to-date on all product data platforms. · To help make sure meta-data and marketing materials are up to date TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide support across all areas of publishing, including: · Sending advances to authors and illustrators · Receiving and sending out of sample parcels from printers to clients · General filing · New project research where required · Sending out marketing mailings · Other administrative support as needed · To provide support across all commercial areas of publishing, including: · Process trade and rights orders in excel · Ensuring information for translation rights sales is up-to-date SKILLS & BEHAVIOURAL REQUIREMENTS: We’re looking for a confident and articulate communicator that is able to build relationships with colleagues and customers. The role would suit a self-starter with a proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritise workloads as per the needs of the team. The role will require use of Microsoft Office applications so experience in this is essential. Proven experience within the book industry a distinct advantage. Educated to degree level preferred. Skills and Abilities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, • Strong Microsoft Office skills & a working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, • Ability to work calmly across numerous tasks at the same time Core staff working hours are 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday. We operate a Summer hours schedule for those who wish to join. We are also open to part-time hours that can be on flexi-time. Job Types: Full-time or 25-30 hours part-time (flexi hours) Pay: circa £25,000.00 or pro-rata Additional pay: • Casual dress, • Company pension, • Free parking, • On-site parking
