Job Title: Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Business Development Representative (BDR)\n\nLocation: South East, England\n\nSalary: Competitive\n\nJob Type: Full Time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week\n\nJoin a Growing Business in Recycling, Sustainability & Waste Management\n\nPearce Recycling Group and Pearce Compaction Systems are seeking ambitious Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to help drive our next stage of growth.\n\nEstablished for over 150 years, Pearce is a family-owned recycling and manufacturing business that helps organisations across the UK improve their recycling performance, reduce waste costs and achieve their sustainability objectives.\n\nFrom total waste management and recycling services to industry-leading waste compactors and balers, we provide practical solutions that deliver measurable environmental and commercial benefits to our customers.\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation operating at the heart of the circular economy.\n\nAbout the role:\n\nYou'll be responsible for identifying and engaging new business opportunities across a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, logistics, retail, distribution, hospitality, local government and commercial property. Working closely with our sales and operational teams, you'll build a pipeline of qualified opportunities for our recycling services and compaction equipment divisions.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nResearch and identify prospective customers across target sectors.\nConduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, site visits and other channels.\nGenerate qualified meetings and sales opportunities.\nBuild and maintain a healthy sales pipeline within our CRM.\nUnderstand customer waste management challenges and identify suitable solutions.\nSupport the sales team in progressing opportunities through the sales cycle.\nDevelop relationships with decision-makers including Operations Directors, Facilities Managers, Sustainability Managers and Procurement teams.\nConsistently achieve activity, meeting and pipeline targets.\nStay informed on industry trends, sustainability initiatives and waste legislation.About you:\n\nEntry-Level SDR\n\nIdeal for graduates or candidates looking to build a career in B2B sales.\n\nRequirements:\n\nExcellent communication skills.\nConfidence speaking with senior decision-makers.\nPositive attitude and willingness to learn.\nStrong organisation and time management.\nResilient, motivated and target-driven.\nExperience in customer service, retail, hospitality or outbound calling is beneficial but not essential.Mid-Level BDR\n\nIdeal for candidates with previous business development, SDR, telesales or inside sales experience.\n\nRequirements:\n\n2+ years of B2B sales, SDR or business development experience.\nProven track record of generating leads and appointments.\nExperience managing a sales pipeline and CRM.\nStrong commercial awareness and consultative selling skills.\nAbility to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.\nExperience within waste management, facilities management, environmental services, manufacturing or industrial sectors would be advantageous.What We Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and uncapped commission structure.\nClear progression path into Account Management or Business Development Manager roles.\nOngoing sales and product training.\nOpportunity to work within a growing sustainability-focused sector.\nSupportive family-business culture with long-term career opportunities.\nModern CRM and sales tools.\nPension scheme and additional company benefits such as health care cash plans, enhanced holiday, retailer discounts and more.Why Join Pearce?\n\nAt Pearce, we're passionate about helping organisations recycle more, waste less and operate more sustainably.\n\nYou'll be joining a business with a strong reputation, a loyal customer base and an ambitious growth strategy.
