We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, maintain kitchen hygiene standards, and support the overall kitchen operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring chef to gain hands-on experience and develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced, professional environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as directed by the Sous Chef / Head Chef. - Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety. - Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned. - Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and measuring ingredients. - Follow recipes and presentation specifications. - Work with other kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized work environment. - Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and monitoring supplies. - Adhere to portion controls and minimize waste. - Assist in the development and testing of new recipes and menu items. - Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and consistency. - Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff. - Participate in training and development activities to improve skills and knowledge.
