As a growing business in the mid- to high-end dining sector, the company requires a Commercial Manager to drive business development, manage supplier and delivery partnerships, and establish a sustainable commercial strategy for long-term growth. Key Responsibilities: Negotiate and manage contracts with food and equipment suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing of high-quality Chinese ingredients at competitive prices. Develop and maintain partnerships with leading UK food delivery platforms to expand the restaurant’s delivery and takeaway business. Identify new business opportunities such as corporate catering, event-based dining services, and local business partnerships. Analyse UK Chinese dining market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to propose tailored growth strategies. Coordinate with operations, front-of-house, and delivery teams to ensure smooth execution of commercial initiatives and compliance with brand standards. Plan and deliver localised promotional campaigns and cultural events to raise brand awareness and expand the customer base. Monitor commercial performance, set targets, and ensure financial stability by reviewing client payment terms and cash flow. Who We Are Looking For: A candidate with proven experience in business development or commercial management within the UK restaurant or hospitality sector, ideally with a strong understanding of the Chinese dining industry. Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier contracts and commercial partnerships. Knowledge of UK food delivery platforms and practical experience in driving delivery-based business growth. Excellent analytical skills, able to interpret market data and develop actionable strategies for growth. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations and customer-facing teams. A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) in business management, marketing, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred. Fluency in Mandarin and English is highly desirable to manage supplier relationships and engage with both Chinese and UK stakeholders.
