With approximately 120 employees, we are looking for an experienced and highly organised Senior Payroll and Accounts Officer to manage our payroll and day-to-day finance functions. This role would particularly suit an experienced payroll manager, finance officer, bookkeeper, or retired/semi-retired accountant seeking a rewarding and flexible part-time position. Key Responsibilities • Manage weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 120 employees, • Ensure accurate PAYE, National Insurance, pension, and HMRC submissions., • Administer workplace pensions and auto-enrolment., • Process staff expenses and travel claims., • Maintain purchase and sales ledgers., • Raise invoices and reconcile customer payments., • Carry out bank reconciliations., • Monitor cash flow, debtor balances, and credit control., • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports., • Liaise with the external accountant regarding month-end and year-end accounts., • Maintain accurate payroll and financial records., • Ensure compliance with HMRC, employment legislation, and financial procedures., • Identify opportunities to improve payroll and financial processes. Essential Requirements • At least 5 years' experience in payroll and accounts., • Strong knowledge of PAYE, RTI, pensions, and HMRC regulations., • Experience using payroll and accounting software such as BrightPay, Xero, or QuickBooks., • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills., • High level of accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail., • Excellent organisational and communication skills., • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Due to continued expansion we are seeking to fill an important role in our Project Team.
