ENGINEERING MANAGER Normanton Mon-Friday: 9am-5pm ASR Group is the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, with an annual production capacity of more than 6 million tons of sugar. The role will report directly to Head of Operations. The role will predominantly focus on the leadership & development of the engineering team as well as a strong focus on continuous improvement activities on site. This will include, process improvements and cost efficiencies etc. Its an exciting time to join the business as we are growing & making changes to the site, which will include new lines and projects. • To maintain and supervise the Engineering team including carrying out regular One-To-Ones and PDR’s in line with local and group policy., • To Implement Monitor and control a Pre-Planned Maintenance program suitable for Customer and certification level audits, • Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates., • Control the engineering budget spend, working closely with both the head of operations and the accounts department., • Work closely with the Production and Planning teams to ensure the required levels of reliability and efficiency from the plant are maintained The Person: • Experienced in a similar manufacturing environment, preferably food or FMCG, • Proven leadership experience, helping develop team members engineering skills., • Ability to come to the table with “solutions not problems”, • Skills; I.T., Problem Solving and Communication. The Contract Manager will also maximise contract profitability, control costs, invoicing and ensure the timely submission of financial data.
