We are recruiting for a nurse qualified Deputy Manager with experience of mental health and challenging behaviour to support a specialist care provider and highly regarded nursing service supporting adults with dementia and mental health needs. Working closely with the Registered Manager, the Deputy Manager will support the day-to-day clinical and operational leadership of the home, ensuring consistently high standards of safety, compliance, and person-centred care. The position offers a predominantly supernumerary leadership presence with some clinical visibility on shift, providing the opportunity to influence culture, develop teams, and drive continuous quality improvement. Key Responsibilities • Provide visible clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team, • Support governance, audits, incidents, and care planning to maintain safe, effective services, • Promote strong compliance aligned to CQC Fundamental Standards, • Contribute to recruitment, supervision, and colleague development, • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and professionals, • Champion safeguarding, medication management, and health & safety Candidate Requirements • Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) with active NMC registration, • Proven leadership experience within complex care, neurological, dementia, or mental health services, • Strong understanding of clinical governance and regulatory expectations, • Confident team leader able to coach, motivate, and develop others, • Organised, compassionate, and values-driven approach The role offers: • Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience, • Career development pathway and funded learning, • Generous annual leave plus bank holidays, • Wellbeing and recognition initiatives, • Meals on shift, parking, pension, and life assurance, • The chance to make a meaningful difference within a specialist clinical service Interested?
