The testing will include static, fatigue, endurance and environmental tests for the development of new landing gear technology, qualification of new products and supporting in-service programmes.\n\nYou will be required to:\n-Review test procedure requirements\n-Define detailed resource plans to achieve requirements\n-Lead the execution of test activities \n-Operate control & data acquisition systems. \n-Installation of test instrumentation\n-Conduct fault finding to resolve test issues\n-Liaise with internal and external customers and suppliers\n-Compile technical documentation and test reports\n-Participate in the on-going process improvement within the test facility\n\nWhy Safran?\n-A global presence: Be part of a global aerospace, defence & space business with over 100,000 Colleagues, across 300 sites in 30 countries.\n-Inclusive & empowering environment: We celebrate our differences and believe they make us stronger. Whatever your background, together we aim for excellence.\n\nGet involved:\nWe also have a number of groups and forums across our sites that you can get involved with, including Women at Safran, Diversity at Safran, Sports Clubs, STEM ambassadors, Employee Forum, Charity Partnerships and Wellbeing Programs.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n\nAn experienced engineer in your own field and with a good knowledge of other disciplines you will have worked in a mechanical test environment. \n\nYou will need a minimum HNC/Degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering and experience within a qualification/development test environment and\nwith the necessary experience to be successful in the role, to include the following:\n\n-Experience in structural strength, fatigue, endurance, environmental or Flight Test Instrumentation'\n-Experience in electrical & hydraulic systems, servo controls and PLC controllers.\n-Experience in the application & use of test control systems, data acquisition systems and instrumentation.\n-Practical experience within a test environment\n-Knowledge of strain gauging and application (Strain gauge theory would be advantageous).\n-Calibration of transducers e.g. force, pressure, displacement.\n-Technical report writing\n-Project management skills to meet customer requirements and deliver customer satisfaction on quality, cost and time.\n-Excellent computer literacy & IT skills e.g. Microsoft Applications.\n-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
