Working in a small independent SEMH school. Area Criteria Computer Literacy ● Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel (formulas, tables, sorting/filtering). ● Confident in using SIMS for student data and CPOMS for safeguarding records. School Systems & Legal Frameworks ● Working understanding of the SEND Code of Practice. ● Knowledge of pupil registration, attendance tracking, and relevant legal responsibilities. ● Awareness of SLASC returns and other DfE compliance and data reporting requirements. Finance & Admin ● Able to carry out basic school accountancy tasks including processing invoices, purchase orders, and maintaining budget records accurately. ● Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Adaptability ● Capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced school environment that may change rapidly throughout the day. ● Able to stay calm and productive during stressful situations, prioritising effectively. Independence & Initiative ● Fast learner with the ability to take ownership of tasks and work autonomously with minimal supervision. ● Willing to seek support where needed, while confidently managing day-to-day operations independently.
