About you: Be a pro-active member of the Commercial Team and assist in administrative duties, as necessary. Reporting to the Commercial Manager and working alongside the Assistant Quantity Surveyor to ensure accurate records are constantly updated; key commercial and contract tasks are conducted in a timely fashion. Part of a small team responsible for identifying, recording and managing contractual risk and opportunity across Alpine’s Project portfolio to assist in the cash backed profitable growth of the business in sustainable revenue streams. DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE (including accountabilities) • Provide administrative assistance to the members of the commercial team and board, as necessary, • Supporting the management of, and updating payment applications, payment certificates for end client and subcontractors alike, • Recording and maintaining records as required on risk, opportunity, contract document control - Contracts, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Change Management., • Client queries on applications for payments and maintaining well-ordered systems in place, • Liaising with the finance team to ensure invoices are raised accordingly, • Lead and strive for operational excellence and continual performance improvement through proactive management in order to minimise risk and maximise opportunity, • Assistant with commercial policy and procedures and establish parameters for measuring project performance, • Assist with instilling best commercial practice throughout the organisation The above deliverables are not necessarily exhaustive, and responsibilities may change as the role and business develops

Overview: Complete internal and external Fire Risk Assessments both visual and fully intrusive. Advise clients on fire safety compliance within existing and new build schemes and work with a multi disciplinary team in developing complex designs. Role Requirements: Work with and lead aspects of a growing team, reporting directly to the Delivery Director. Experience: • Minimum 5 years PQE, • External Wall Risk Assessments, • Retrospective and design fire strategies, • Compartmentation Surveys, • Large and small refurbishment and re-cladding projects, • Fire Protection Work, • Member of IFE, • Working towards C Build E, CEng, IEng Skills, Knowledge and Understanding: • Liaise closely with Clients, Contractors, Developers, Clerk of Works and other key stakeholders., • Undertake Risk Assessments in line with current legislation., • Advise clients of pragmatic, cost-effective solutions to mitigate risk where possible., • Assist in the growth, development and structure of a small team, drawing upon team leadership skills and experience., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; decision making based on a clear fire engineering analysis. Clients: • Contractors and Developers., • Principally Local Authorities, Housing Associations and other Clients. General: • Comply with, or improve upon, our Clients' Key Performance Indicators., • Working with and developing a Quality Management System and report on a regular basis on the status of projects and update Fee Projections., • Assist the Director in Charge with Business Development, cultivating new and existing Clients to promote our Building Surveying service offering. Fire Engineering: • Assist the client in RAG assessing their stock to understand their potential liabilities., • Review information relating to fire safety that the client has accrued for their buildings to date and advise them of its suitability., • Conduct Fire Risk Assessments both internally and externally in-line with current industry guidance and compile a detailed report., • Provide CPD to clients, making them aware of their obligations as building owners., • Peer review reports from other Fire Engineers where requested., • Work with the project team to produce cost-effective, pragmatic remedial solutions where possible., • Attend client/resident meetings when required to explain reports that have been issued and the implications of the findings., • Produce Fire strategies, fire safety management plans, planning statement, fire statements, assist with BSR applications, review design drawings and technical data sheets., • Work with the project team to compile the ER's., • Liaise closely with the Clerk of Works and the contractor and carry out compliance checks of the works as they progress., • Attend site progress meetings when required., • Assist with updating and creating new templates; support the wider fire engineering team as required. You will be selling a bespoke system which protects cables & pipes from gas, fire, and water in a variety of applications in these areas such as in naval vessels, oil exploration, offshore windfarms, merchant navy vessels, and yacht manufacturers. The area in which your target prospects will be across the whole of the UK. This Internal Technical Sales Executive role will see you conduct multi-channel outreach in order to connect with a variety of decision making levels, from applications engineers through to board level, you will research and target these end users to propose new specifications of the cable sealing and protection solution into predominantly new build projects & retrofit assignments. A lot of your activity will be booking meetings for the external sales team, conducting online demo's, or conducting business yourself with smaller accounts. Once the specification has been signed off by the specifier, whether through your or a colleagues work, you will work closely with the EPCs, end users, and Contractors to see the process through to completion through phone/Teams contact and regular updates. The Internal Technical Sales Executive will have the opportunity for face to face client visits where necessary, attending industry trade shows, and to work closely with the field team. This role is hybrid in it's work pattern which will require you to be in their head office in Bury at least three days per week with the other two days being work from home or on the road if at client visits. This role will progress to a Territory Sales Management role within two years and from there your career can progress further into national roles, this role will suit someone who is keen on a career move!
