Software Engineer - Full Stack ScottishPower HQ Glasgow Salary starting from 52400 bonus & other excellent benefits Full time permanent position Closing Date:3rd of September Help us create a better future quicker As a Full Stack Developer you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining complex web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with React Python and PostgreSQL along with a strong understanding of best practices in software development. What youll be doing • Design develop and maintain web applications using React Python and PostgreSQL., • Collaborate with product managers UX/UI designers and other developers to create robust scalable and secure applications., • Write clean maintainable and efficient code following best practices and coding standards., • Implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services., • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability., • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members., • Troubleshoot debug and resolve software defects and issues., • Mentor and guide junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement., • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our products and processes., • Maintaining security standards in code. What youll bring • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)., • Experience in full stack development as a Software Engineer, • Strong proficiency in React Python and PostgreSQL., • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript., • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services., • Proficient in version control systems preferably Git., • Familiarity with containerisation technologies like Docker is a plus., • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies, • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
