Year 3 Teacher – Long-Term Supply Location: GrimsbyStart Date: February 2026Duration: Until Easter 2026 (with the possibility of extension)Working Pattern: Full-time (Monday–Friday) About this Role We are seeking a committed and highly organised Year 3 Teacher for a long-term full-time supply position at a supportive primary academy in Grimsby, part of a well-established multi-academy trust. This role is ideally suited to a teacher who understands the importance of the transition into Key Stage 2 and is confident delivering purposeful, well-sequenced lessons. Planning is an essential component of this role, with the expectation that you will adapt trust-provided schemes of work to meet the needs of your pupils. You will take full responsibility for a Year 3 class, supporting academic progress through high-quality planning, assessment for learning, and effective feedback. There is potential for this role to be extended beyond Easter. What You Will Be Doing • Planning and delivering engaging, structured lessons aligned with the Year 3 curriculum, • Adapting planning to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and higher attainers, • Supporting clear progression in reading, writing, and maths, building on KS1 foundations, • Using assessment for learning strategies, including live marking and targeted feedback, • Creating a calm, consistent, and positive classroom environment, • Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours, • Managing behaviour and routines in line with school and trust policies Are You • Confident and well-organised with strong lesson planning skills, • Experienced in teaching Year 3 or lower KS2, • Proactive in using assessment to inform planning and next steps, • Adaptable, reflective, and committed to high expectations, • Professional, reliable, and fully committed to safeguarding, • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 3 experience desirable), • Strong planning, assessment, and classroom management skills, • Competitive daily rates paid weekly, • Access to free CPD and training, particularly in KS2 and assessment, • Support from a dedicated consultant with classroom teaching experience
