We’re recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to join the senior leadership team of a well-established international organisation. This is a high-impact role leading production, logistics and supply chain operations across multiple UK sites, with real scope to shape strategy, drive improvement and influence long‑term business performance. The Role As part of the UK leadership team, you’ll take ownership of the operations and logistics strategy, ensuring the successful delivery of 3–5 year roadmaps, budgets and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll lead multiple operational functions, including high-grade seed production, contract production, quality labs and supply chain, ensuring they deliver an efficient, high-quality service to both internal and external customers. You’ll also champion safety across all sites, drive excellence in S&OP, and work closely with sales and marketing teams to improve forecasting, availability and customer service. Key Responsibilities • Lead the UK operations and logistics strategy and contribute to the wider business roadmap, • Manage and develop production, supply chain, quality and contract teams, • Oversee S&OP processes to ensure strong service levels and effective stock management, • Champion Health & Safety across all sites, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, • Own operational budgets, capex planning and mid-term investment strategies, • Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency across all functions, • Oversee purchasing and supplier relationships, • Ensure rigorous quality control and resolution of non-conformities, • Collaborate with sales, marketing, QHSE, HR and finance teams, • Act as a coach and mentor, developing a skilled and motivated workforce, • Define KPIs, analyse performance and lead the team to deliver excellent results What We’re Looking For • Degree‑educated with 5–10 years’ experience in manufacturing, logistics or agriculture, • Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, • Confident in leading change initiatives and driving continuous improvement, • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, • High-level IT capability, including ERP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel, • Strong understanding of planning, stock control and operational performance, • Fluent in English; business-level French is an advantage, • Willingness to travel across UK sites and occasional European travel Why This Role Stands Out • Senior leadership position with real influence and autonomy, • Opportunity to shape long-term operational strategy, • Broad, varied remit across production, logistics, quality and supply chain, • A culture that values collaboration, improvement and high performance, • Competitive salary, benefits and long-term development opportunities If this sounds like the role for you, apply now!
