Job Title: Reception Manager Location: The Bromley Court Hotel Salary: £32,000 + 10% Incentive after 3-month probation Role: Full time (5 days out of 7) About Us: The Bromley Court Hotel is a 4-star property with 111 well-appointed bedrooms and 9 versatile event rooms accommodating 10 to 200 guests. The Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Reception Manager to lead our front-of-house team. This key position is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the reception area while delivering an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of front desk operations, inspire a high-performing reception team, and work closely with senior management to continually enhance our service standards. The reception desk is operational 7 days a week, and this role will require flexibility across early, late, and weekend shifts to support the needs of the business. Key Responsibilities • Oversee all front desk operations, ensuring a seamless check-in/check-out experience for guests., • Lead, motivate, and inspire the reception team to deliver warm, attentive, and professional service at all times., • Manage guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints, ensuring prompt and effective resolution., • Support reservations and booking processes, providing accurate information and ensuring smooth communication between departments., • Schedule reception staff to ensure sufficient coverage during peak and off-peak periods., • Promote hotel services and facilities through effective sales techniques to maximise revenue opportunities., • Coordinate with other hotel departments to support guest needs and deliver a cohesive service experience., • Produce performance reports and assist senior management in analysing data to drive operational improvements., • Ensure that all reception procedures, standards, and policies are followed consistently. Skills & Experience Required • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar front desk leadership role within hospitality., • Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment., • Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences., • Solid understanding of front desk operations, guest relations, and reservations support., • Proficiency with property management systems and reservation/booking software., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Strong problem-solving abilities and confidence in handling guest issues professionally.
