Your new roleAs Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team of multi-skilled engineers responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance across a busy, advanced manufacturing site. You will ensure maintenance work is completed to a high standard, coach and support engineers, and coordinate all maintenance activity through SAP to ensure KPIs are met.Your key responsibilities will include: • Managing and coaching maintenance teams, ensuring high levels of craftsmanship and accurate job reporting, • Coordinating workload via SAP and monitoring maintenance KPIs, • Managing equipment failure data and producing breakdown reports, • Procuring spare parts and materials for work orders, • Attending daily production meetings to prioritise activity, • Writing and reviewing maintenance procedures and risk assessments, • A 4-year time-served apprenticeship (mechanical bias preferred), • Mechanical engineering experience within a maintenance workshop environment, • IOSH Managing Safely (essential), • Strong leadership skills and the ability to support and develop engineering teams, • Experience working in a manufacturing environment (desirable), • A 24-month fixed-term contract offering stability and the chance to gain valuable experience in a high-performance manufacturing environment, • A strong pension scheme supporting long-term financial wellbeing, • Access to employee share plans, • A comprehensive range of health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including private healthcare options, • Flexible discounted benefits such as shopping savings and a green car scheme, • The opportunity to lead a skilled, multi-disciplinary engineering team within a growing, well-invested site Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
