With a strong order book, expanding customer base and a clear strategic roadmap, the business is now seeking a commercially minded Head of Finance to lead the finance function and play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s future. Overview Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the newly formed Board and investors, the Head of Finance will be the No 1 in Finance at a local level and take full ownership of financial leadership, governance and performance management across the business. This is a hands-on, strategically influential role suited to an ambitious finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead the end-to-end finance function, ensuring robust financial control, governance and reporting., • Business partner the MD, Operations Director and Commercial teams to drive performance, margin improvement and operational efficiency., • Produce timely and insightful monthly management accounts, KPIs and board packs., • Manage cashflow, working capital and treasury, ensuring the business is well-positioned for growth., • Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes aligned to investor expectations., • Support investment-driven initiatives including capex planning, automation projects and operational scaling., • Develop financial models to support scenario planning, pricing, cost analysis and strategic decision-making., • Oversee statutory accounts, audit, tax and compliance requirements., • Build and develop a small but capable finance team, embedding a culture of continuous improvement., • Act as a key liaison with external investors, banks and professional advisors., • Drive systems, process and reporting enhancements to support scale and efficiency. Essential Experience • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience., • Proven track record in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment., • Strong understanding of cost accounting, margin analysis, stock, WIP and operational finance., • Experience operating in a scaling or change-oriented business (PE-backed or investor-led desirable)., • Demonstrable ability to partner with operational and commercial teams., • Comfortable balancing hands-on delivery with strategic leadership.
